Founder and Director of Yoga Mandiram, Esteban has been practicing yoga continuously for the past 15 years. He was initially trained at the Chilean Academy of Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga Chile, and later completed private training with local and foreign teachers. Esteban has more than 14 years of experience in yoga pedagogy. He believes firmly in one’s own study and practice as a necessary means for fully incorporating yoga into their life.
Camilo’s connection to yoga started in his childhood, when he practiced meditation with his mother. Now, as an adult, he utilizes the practices suggested in books by certain teachers, in particular Indra Devi. In the year 2014, Camilo joined the ACHY Instructors course. The following year he began his training at Yoga Mandiram, in search of a more personalized focus, and he currently practices and studies at Yoga Mandiram.
Rocío started her Ashtanga journey in the year 2008 through a determined and disciplined process to enhance her understanding of yoga under the guidance and teaching of Tamara Plotz. From the year 2013, Rocío delved into her personal practice through workshops held by Matthew and Carla Vollmer in Santiago and Brazil. In 2015, she joined Yoga Mandiram as part of the Training Program for Students, intending to enrich and develop her practice of the diverse elements involved in yoga. Rocío subsequently began her training to be an instructor at our school by first attending and later leading classes. Rocío now practices, studies and teaches at Yoga Mandiram.
Actress by profession, Marita has always been interested in different physical disciplines. She discovered yoga in 2009, and since 2015 she has been expanding her investigation and development of the practice at Yoga Mandiram. In October 2016, Marita traveled to Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, India, where she trained with Kamal Singh to be an instructor of yoga. Currently, Marita practices, studies, and gives classes at Yoga Mandiram.
Evelyn Gómez is a co-administrator and practicing student at Yoga Mandiram. She was trained by Professor René Espinoza at the Chilean Academy of Yoga in Purnas and Ardhas Vinyasas, a practice which uses the Integrative Yogic Model from the teachings of T.K. Krishnamacharya. A doula in the network of co-mothers of Mamatríztica, Evelyn specializes in pre-natal yoga, a discipline oriented towards connecting with one’s feminine nature in order to recieve their expected baby in a conscious, natural manner. Evelyn was trained in pre-natal yoga by Delia Jorquera, Su M. Donayre and at the Loknath School by Yogiraj Tonmoy Shome.
Pamela began her journey with yoga out of physical and emotional necessity. She started her practice in 2012 at the Chilean Academy of Yoga, and in 2014 she joined the Instructors Course to expand her knowledge of yoga. The following year she joined the Training Program for Students at Yoga Mandiram, looking to develop her own yoga focus. To this day, Pamela studies, practices and gives classes at Yoga Mandiram. Her main professors and mentors are Esteban Cabezas and René Espinoza.
A student of yoga since 2008, Leonor began to enhance her practice in 2016 by completing a 500-hour instruction course in Vinyasa Krama Yoga. With the objective of continuing to develop her practice as well as study of yoga, in the same year she started her training at Yoga Mandiram, where she practices Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and where she continues training to this day. During 2016 and 2017, Leonor completed the Training Program for Students, and she is currently studying through the Professor Program.
Yéssica has been a practicing Buddhist since the year 1990. She joined the Shambhala lineage in 1993, where she was a professor and meditation instructor. Currently, Yéssica is a scholar of Dzongsar Khyentse RInpoche. She attended the Three Year Retreat, of lineage Kagyu, in Gampo Abbey in Canada. Under the direction of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, Yéssica completed her training at this retreat in 2010. At Yoga Mandiram, Yéssica currently teaches Shamatha, a meditation practice passed down by Buda Shakyamuni. Shamatha helps students to be attentive to the present moment and quiet their minds.
Constanza is a designer who views life as a continuous cycle of learning. Her first encounter with yoga was in 2008, when she explored Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. Constanza completed her study to be an instructor in the School ¨Vinyasa Yoga Chile¨ (The Center of your Heart), graduating in 2015 with the RYT 200 certification. She arrived at Yoga Mandiram in the year 2016, with the objective of resuming her personal practice. Enchanted by the nuances of yoga and the community generated by the school, Constanza chose to continue cultivating her yoga practice here. In 2017 Constanza progressed to be a professor at Yoga Mandiram, where she currently studies and practices.
